Wimborne Christmas Parade
The annual Wimborne Save the Children Parade wound its way through the narrow streets of Wimborne at the beginning of December with an added magical ingredient in 2000 – sunshine! The prospect of a dry afternoon brought many spectators out to enjoy the colourful spectacle. In addition to delivering Santa Claus to his grotto (in the Tourist Information centre) and raising funds for a charitable cause, the event also provided a suitable start to the Festive Season.
